Relaxed fitting denim pinafore dress with flat shoulder straps, soft gathers and tucks into waist seam, pockets in side seams and a deep hem. Features a relaxed silhouette and French seam construction. Trans seasonal piece, can be worn alone or layered. 

Limited edition production utilising dead stock fabric, saving left over yardage from land fill. Produced in Indonesia with GV PT, a small Bali based factory with social and ethical goals that align with Tartan's considered approach to clothing production:

Energy: 50% solar powered in 2024. 2025 Goal = 100% Green Energy.

Sourcing: use of organic, eco friendly and dead stock fabrics, considering best practises for the environment.

Community. GV PT pay 100% of their employee’s children’s school fees. GV PT supports their local Banjar by producing garments for cultural, sports and security activities. In Balinese society, Banjar refers to a local organisation that fosters community cohesion, maintains harmony, organises ceremonies, and provides support to its members.

Tartan's limited edition denim pieces come with a selection of pure wool tartan off cuts sourced from Australian kilt makers. These can be used for mindful mending and to customise your Tartan denim piece or any other piece in your wardrobe. Tartan swatches and thread samples provided in handmade up cycled drawstring swatch bags. Individual swatches and bags may vary from featured images. 

If a time comes where you find that your Tartan piece no longer serves you, please recycle it with us. It could become a piece of art in one of our artist collaborations or part of a new garment, we will put it to good use.
